Data recovery is a process of restoring data that has been lost, accidentally deleted, corrupted or made inaccessible. It can happen in a database server. If it fails or crashes amid transactions, it is expected that the system should follow some sort of algorithm or techniques to recover lost data. The major problem during recovering is data lost. To preventing the data is one of the complex task and the data neither retrieved 100% in the server. It also may take a lots of time to recover back the data. The multiple servers that stored the same data may have a different amount of data that caused by server failure.
In other words, when the failure server become active as usually, the data that has been stored in other database servers doesn’t keep on that server. The importance of data recovery is, it can help to recover data in a database server in the case of host failure. It also provides ease of any information or file getting lost. So, no issues of information lost in any event will be occur and it could serve as well as additional storage device. As a solution, implementation of active passive cluster in database servers can be used to get optimal result for data recovery process. |
Data recovery is a very important for database system. Because of the databases stored a lot of important and personal data, it should be protected from loss. The technique is used must be able to restore data optimally.
An active passive cluster can be implement for optimal data recovery. The active passive cluster refers to an architecture that one or more server host the entire cluster workload, but only one server remains idle as a standby server, or ready to take over processing in case a primary server running an application fails. This solution ensures that the performance for the fail-safe workload is the same before and after fail over. By implementing that architecture in database servers, the data that recovered among servers will be accurate and synchronization can be achieved. |
